THE SIMPLE PURPOSE
Love God, Love people “...do this and you will live.” (Luke 10:25-28) That’s the simple purpose of man: Love God. Love people (only those people who are made in God's image). Talk to God about how to flesh that out in your daily life. And also, you can talk with us - we're all in the process of fleshing this out and we help each other in that process.
WHERE IS THIS ALL GOING?
We're all being prepared for a Kingdom to Come in which Jesus physically reigns as King of kings. This life counts. What we do in this life we take into eternity with us, so, this life really counts.
Believe in Jesus for eternal life. Follow Him and Him alone to fulfill the two great commandments: Love God, love your neighbor as yourself. By the way, ALL people are made in the image of God - so we are to love all people - that includes your enemies. See why we all need to help each other in this.
THE ROAD MAP
The Bible give us instruction on how to flesh out these two commandments. I understand that many mock the Bible and the resurrection and the final judgment and the afterlife. If the mockers are right, then Christians are the most pitiful people on this earth. But if there really is a resurrection, and a judgment and an afterlife, the mockers will be shocked when it happens and will have much to lose. That’s why it seems to be a wise idea to read and consider the words of Jesus and the bible before one just tosses it out and/or mocks it. If it’s true, it very good news for all of us: God loves us and desires to forgive us, restore us and teach us His ways. He sent His Son, Jesus, to make a payment on our behalf - a payment we couldn't make for ourselves. He loves you; the giver of Life desires to give you a full, rich, eternal life in Him. And that life will be given to any humble soul who receives Jesus. That's the simple message of the Good News (Gospel).
